The main page has finally got some pictures, albeit silly ones that make me look like an ogre. At least it isn't so boring any more. I've finally decided I'm going to work on bringing the site out of the dark ages; at some point I'll get rid of the dark background shite and make it nice and colourful (but not garish), with more interesting pages that actually have useful things on them. I've got enough things to put online these days, but this website has always been solely about old jokes and shavian so they just won't 'fit' here yet!

Well after 8 months of my site having been shut down (lost the BT Internet account when we moved), I've finally got it uploaded again on www.fearfulsilence.com. That's my old gaming clan's website. It's got loads of webspace on it with CGI, PHP, etc. support so it should be good for the future. Now I can update the website from wherever I am (instead of having to dial into BT Internet). Not that I'm going to do that much of course. You know how terrible I am at that.
No updates, just uploaded what was there before with a few tweaks (different email address etc.). It's never going to get any updates, I can just see...

I'm bored of all the 'nice-guy' attitude displayed throughout this website. The English is too proper, the layout is too neat, and more importantly, IT'S GETTING BORING!!! I've kept the basic look of the site intact, but I've tried to make a few things a bit livelier. You will see a NEW Hugh's Site from now on!
OK, what updates this time? I've changed the main site font to Verdana so that it's more readable at 10pt. I've done a bit of rewording in various places to make it less ridid and polite. Got rid of 'W.G.O.' and replaced it with 'About Me' (the old title reminds me too much of W.G.S., my old school). I've finally removed the 'Misc' section, as there was never going to be anything there. New Navbar as well - more or less like the old one but slightly restyled to make it seem like I actually keep this site up-to-date.

Nothing has happened to this site for so long that I am bored with it. I will start to change this site substantially soon, everywhere will see a change of some sort.
So far I've removed the background music from the site, in order to let the Voice Chat utility work (more on that in a mo). Everyone had heard the old stuff anyway. Email me if you liked it and I'll send it to you. I've also changed the Nav Bar for something a little more chic, hope it impresses. If it gets in the way of your browser let me know and I'll do something about it. What else have I done? Oh yeah, now the Voice Chat utility that I first put on the CONTACT page has been moved to the all-new CHAT page. At present the Voice Chat's the only thing on the page, but it is so easy and so cool that it's all anybody could need at the moment, surely. Try it out and you'll see what I'm rambling on about. I'll add more stuff to the page as I get it.
Oh yes I almost forgot to mention: new address for the site. You might have gone through the possibly familiar 'this site has moved' banners on your way in when logging on to www.soundbox.freeuk.com - if so you need to note down the new address: www.mixsynth.btinternet.co.uk. I've added some more Jokes, Poetry and Philosophy to the PHILOSOPHY PAGE - all of it great stuff. Not only that: I have given it an introductory page so that people who can't view it get fair warning. I've also added another Shavian transliteration to the Shavian Page. More links also added to LINKS.
I've finally got rid of the scrolling text, because of frequent moaning from visitors. It also gives more space for viewing. I've also made it possible for people to navigate without using the coloured tabs by adding links to the bottom of each page.
